Please be advised that the repair works on Sea-Me-We 3 have been completed and all services have been restored.

16/10/2017 13:24 UTC High Latency to Asian Network Destinations – Update

Please be advised we have received an update from our provider regarding the repair of the Sea-Me-We 3 submarine cable between Perth and Singapore.

Cable ship has completed the 1st Joint and has been making the final joint.

SM3 cable cut is due for repair in the next 48 hours.

13/10/2017 00:40 UTC – High Latency to Asian Network Destinations – Update

Please be advised we have received an update from our provider regarding the repair of the Sea-Me-We 3 submarine cable between Perth and Singapore.

Cable Ship Asean Explorer has departed Tanjung Priok Anchorage and on passage to Merak port for inwards clearance. The tentative repair window is scheduled from 12-Oct to 16-Oct.

Cable ship is expected to arrive at cable ground on 12th October 17 and to complete the repair by 16th October 17.

Tentative ETR is 16th October now.

At this stage the latest update from our upstream provider advises that there is a cable fault on the Sea-Me-We 3 submarine cable between Perth and Singapore. The tentative repair completion is by 13th October 2017, subject to permits approval. Customers can expect to see increased latency to Asian destinations until this link is restored. Further updates will be provided as they are received.
